A little red house and its surroundings in the middle of Sweden is the theme of this residency & exhibition project as well as the venue for it. The place is called ‘Solvik’ (~transl~ ‘Sunbay’) and to get there you need to either walk a couple of kilometres through the forest from the nearest road or go by boat from the nearest bay, where the nearest village, Bräcke, is four kilometres away and the nearest town, Östersund, is about one hours drive away; apart from that, there are pine tree-forests, lakes, mountains, and more forests. Every second/third year a group of artists resides here for some time during the summer together to make work, discuss, exchange and to for a little while make this little spot in Sweden into a hub of artistic and experimental activities.
